Tracks/Sessions

Track 1: Clinical Neuroimmunology

The Clinical Neuroimmunology describes the role of the immune system in injury and repair during  wide range of neurological disorders, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases of the nervous system such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuromyelitis optical (NMO). There were numerous studies to improve diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis and other diseases. The main focus is to develop the so-called neuroprotective (nerve cell protecting) treatment approaching and establishing modern examination procedures such as MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), OCT (optical coherence tomography) and motion analysis.

Track 2: Novel therapies in Neurodegenerative Disorders

Clinical research has focused on autoimmune disease (AID) for a couple of decades. More sensitive and specific methods have been developed for treating neurodegenerative disorders and neuroimmunological research. Gamma fraction bands (bands separated by electrophoresis and visualized by amino black staining) and IgG fraction bands (bands separated by iso-electric focusing and visualized by immunostaining) are used instead of oligoclonal bands.

Track 3: Immunocytochemistry

ICC is most common and widely used laboratory technique for the visualization of location of a specific proteins and peptides in cells by involving the use of biomolecules capable of binding to the required protein. The biomolecule is the primary antibody that permits the observation of the protein under the effect of fluorescence microscope when it is occupied by another biomolecule or secondary antibody. The secondary antibody is linked to a reporter, e.g. a fluorophore, fluorescent dye, or enzyme which gives signal e.g. color or fluorescence which is then detectable by a microscope. The type of microscopes used for image acquisition depends on the type of reporter. The bio sample can be a tissue section, mouth swab, blood sample, or any sample taken from an individual, animal, or plant.

Track 20: Transparent animal model for Neuroimaging

To understand the causes of mental health conditions and functioning of the brain in neurological disorders like Cerebral ischemia, Epilepsy, Traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Multiple sclerosis, Acute CNS inflammation, animal models are used. The example of animals used are Baboon (Papio papio), mouse (DBA/2J), genetically epilepsy-prone rats (GEPRs), rabbits, and the Fayoumi chicken, rat. Improved imaging techniques allow the gross structure and function of the brain to be assessed in vivo, the organ cannot be biopsied for detailed analysis; samples of brain tissue that can be obtained are often affected by post mortem perseveration processes and/or by factors including drug treatment, trauma, infectious disease or seizures. These combined challenges explain why effective new drugs for treating psychiatric disorders have not been forthcoming, and why we continue to rely on medications which often have limited efficacy or undesirable side-effects.

Animal models for Alzheimer’s disease it is important to think about the human phenotype and what is being modeled in terms of the animal phenotype. Even though the anatomy in the mouse is different than the human, mutant tau mice are relatively good models in that they recapitulate tau-dependent neurodegeneration. Although these are incomplete models of the human disease, they have been well received in the field as potentially relevant models for use in drug discovery.

The models include

·        Transgenic models

·        Pharmacological and lesion models

·        Natural and seminatural models

·        Primate models

·        Zebra fish models

·        Animal models of human cognitive aging

Track 21: Neurocytochemistry

Daily activities like generating movement, ability to concentrate, think and speak and to control the body systems is permitted by union of chemical messaging in the brain. Neurochemistry is the study of neurochemicals together with neurotransmitters and those that alternates the functioning of neurons in the brain. Due to imbalances of reliable neurotransmitters in the brain, Several neurological conditions, like movement disorders, depression and Parkinson disease occurs.

Recent innovations in neurochemistry are using Novel combination of ion channels inhibitor in treatment of Neurotrauma. Also, neurocytochemical features in Weaver Syndrome were studied. Weaver Syndrome is a genetic disease of purebred and crossbred Brown Swiss cattle characterized by ataxia, leg weakness and dysmetria.

Track 22: Clinical Neuroscience and Immunology

Clinical neuroscience is a branch of neuroscience that focuses on the fundamental mechanisms that underlie diseases and disorders of the brain and central nervous system StrokesMultiple Sclerosis and many Related Disorders provides as a resource for neurologists and physicians take interested in, and dealing with this branch of neurology. The main approach of this branch is to develop neuroprotective treatment approaches and establishing modest examination procedures such as motion analysis, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and OCT (optical coherence tomography). This branch provides an introduction to basic reciprocal relation of neurons and immunology and principles of immunotherapy and also serves as a thorough guide to immune-mediated disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system.
